\”Congress last year ordered an investigation into Katrina damage claims after allegations surfaced that some insurers had shifted the financial burden to the government by declaring that flooding, rather than wind, caused the destruction.\”

Of course these WYO want it to be flood related, they make a percentage of flood claim paid out and save on what they did not have to cover as wind!

Sometimes even Scruggs recognizes a lost cause. Am I correct in assuming your flood level was 5 ft, and you had not flood policy? SOL.

Don\’t feel alone, My Insurance Companies denied claims, raised rates & threaten to cancel my policy if I do not send them a copy of a Contract or Building Permit.
Road Home is a joke; like how to you find your way home with Louisiana Politicians?
They mean the Road to Egypt.

    Listen,
Make them also pay you the maximum for Living Expenses, a benefit they don\’t tell you about, it\’s a hidden benefit. Comes into play if your home becomes
uninhabitable. The Living Expense Benefits pay $35,000 average maximum per claim.
You should also sue his E&O Insurance Carrier too. He did not inform you of your benefits in fact he tried to cheat you out of them. It\’s his job to insure your home & contents.

This is one time when we should all stand together & demand fair policy.
I\’m mad as a broke leg porch dog,
and so is the man upstairs!
Lord, he\’s slamming fire balls, floods & tornadoes all over this land.
His eye is on us. Don\’t give up, keep the faith & keep fighting,,,we\’ve got time on our side.

time! I lost everything from 5 feet down in my house and yard. State Farm adjuster RANDY KINARD told me they were only paying for \”wind-driven damage\”. He offered me $5225 and change for my roof/ceiling damage, loss of two trees, and repair/repainting down to the level of water damage. When I stated that this was unacceptable, he tossed the check in the back of my husband\’s truck bed, told me that I could cash the check or throw it away, that he really didn\’t care one way or the other. Then he left. I reported him and his words/actions to my insurance agent, Will Wright of Pascagoula, and to the law office of Dickie Scruggs. I have not heard anything from my insurance company since. I\’m not asking for the world, just my family\’s home back. I paid my HURRICANE PREMIUMS in good faith. Where\’s my GOOD NEIGHBOR now?

No wonder you are mad. Did some lawyer finally showed you that \”Living Expense Benefit\” was not hidden at all, and that not reading even the first page of your policy is not a good basis for a suit?
