So if all moderates are the same and therefore \’phony\’ and other people suggest that all liberals are wrong and other people suggest that all conservatives are wrong; then I have to ask, does anyone truly believe there is one absolutely infallible party?

Let\’s review here…Eisenhower had a lover that served him during his tour of duty and beyond…
Bob Dole divorced his wife to marry Elizabeth Hanover Dole (who was a Democrat thus far more interesting)…
Newt Gingrich presented divorce papers to his wife Jackie while she was in the hospital and refused to support his children unless and until she agreed to a confidentiality agreement…
    then…
Newt Gingrich screwed around on his subsequent wife (who walked away from the marriage with proceeds of a $5,000,000 advance he was given to write a book which he found necessary to write to finance that confidentiality agreement) so he could be with the current wife…

All this commentary does is avoid the priorities which should be given proper attention… I could give you tons more information on the \’dirty laundry\’ in Washington on both sides of the fence. Who cares…that\’s fodder for entertainment television and should not be the focus of national discussion or debate. This country ranks 48th in Education in the world. We rank 44th in the world in infant mortality. Serious issues need serious attention…and I could care less which party is in power…I care what they do with that power. I\’m not happy with George W. Bush and I am amongst the majority with an approval rating of 39%. He needs to find an appropriation bill that he doesn\’t want to sign and if that means putting the Democrats in power to get it I, for one, willingly accomodate him.

As evidenced by verbosity of your response, your typical talking points, and your \”glass half empty\” diatribe, I\’d have to say I must\’ve touched the nerve – you know, the one that goes ape-**** when someone doesn\’t agree with you position on things.

Vote out the Republicans, for me, because they lost their way; and we need them to be seered by the left-wing lunatic fringe in congress to reorient them to the straighter paths. But, I for one prefer my taxes lower, my stock market over 12,000 and my healthcare mine.

    Sir,
Perhaps you have noticed the mounting deficit the country gained under a Republican President and a Republican Congress. William Blake wrote \”without contrast there is no progress\”…it seems to be completely applicable as I don\’t see where this country has progressed in any rankings other than the National Debt under George W. Bush.
Politically, I am a Southern Democrat which converts to a \”fiscal conservative\”. My current governor is a Republican and he gained my vote based upon performance during his prior 4 years. He maintained the fiscal conservatism I want from political leadership. That is my issue with this lame duck Congress. The war has presented spending opportunities without benefit of accountability. A Republican majority in Congress harmed this country financially by refusing to investigate whistleblower cases that eminated from the Pentagon. I am insulted by that arrogance as should be every American Tax-Payer.
