At least 17 people were reportedly killed early Sunday as a deadly tornado moved across southwestern Indiana and northern Kentucky. Officials said many homes were destroyed and at least 200 people were injured.
The tornado hit in the Henderson, Kentucky area, then crossed over into Indiana in the early morning hours.
At least a dozen people were reported dead in an Indiana mobile park home, with a number of others still reportedly trapped. Authorities reported that some 100 homes in the mobile park facility were destroyed.
Many homes in both states were reported to be without power as a result of the deadly twister.
