I usually do not post on thses types of boards but I was a little disturbed about some of the comments I saw against sprikler ordinances. Please refer to Lee’s comment below. Small fire, little water. As mentioned in another comment, contrary to what you see on TV, sprinkler heads do not all activate at once. I am a firefighter and an Insurance professional and I have carried body bags out in fires that would have been controlled by 1 sprinkler head. Please do the research, get the facts and support NFPA’s effort.

Sounds like a great new way for the unscrupulous to get their interior renovated on the insurer’s dime if the system “accidentally” goes off. Can’t wait for the mold claims too. Buy stock in restoration companies now.

may be you should think about using a liecenced sprinkler fitter instead of a plumber.these people complete a 4yr apprentiship in installing fire sprinkler systems.always ask to see there liecence.there are to many back yarders watering down the trade and giving it a bad name.if you suspect a doggy insalation report them to consumer afairs.
