GAB was and continues to be a great Co. Some of my best friends and fondest memories stem from my 10 year tenure with GAB in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
Perhaps in the 60s and 70s. The late 80s and 90s were not so great. Company has made increasingly bad decisions, such as two years ago when they decided to do no more auto appraisals (effectively killing any auto liability work in the process). Add to that really really poor business decisions with national fixed-price contracts and it’s amazing they continue as a going concern. Haven’t worked for them in 10 years and have looked on from the sidelines in amazement since.
