How many insurance carriers utilize a courier service for their bulk mail? The insurance industry is not alone on this one. The postal service has one problem, when they create it (jobs & positions) the unions will not let them eliminate it. They need to consolidate positions, eliminate deadweight and supervisory positions. They need to increase rates for junk mail which should reduce their volumne on a losing item. Or charge yearly fee for doorstep delivery. Their express mail does not come close to competing with Fedex or UPS delivery time. And they wonder why they are losing $$$$. What else to expect from government!!

Magazines & catalogues, magazines & catalogues, magazines & catalogues, magazines & catalogues, magazines & catalogues. These items choke much of the postal services going to addresses where they are unwanted. Restrictions should be put on selling mailing lists.

Nice try, but what happened to freedom of speak and the press. What your are trying to do is have the governemtn take care of you rather than taking responsibility for yourself. Yeah, it takes more effort on your part to pay attention to whom you give your personal information and read, understand and act on privacy statements. I say, leave for the ogvernent to do only those things I CAN’T do for myself (rather than all the things I don’t WANT to do myself). Why not join with other like minded citizens and start an advocacy group and attack it at the source of the problem?
