    sounds to me like she voluntarily tried to help – the issue sounds to me that they were all on a county property – if this happened at a private facility you can bet the owner of the property and the owner of the horse would both be sued – Horses are unpredicatble and there was probably a helmet rule posted at this barn that NEITHER of them followed. I can’t believe this suit got this far.

      Sad that she was injured, but …”an Amish horse-drawn wagon came down the road and spooked the horse with its loud noise.” … Really? Loud noise from an Amish horse-drawn wagon? Come on.
