If the vehicle driver couldn’t see the stop sign because these punks wrapped it, they’re guilty as sin and should be punished accordingly. How sad to live safely for 85 years and have your precious remaining time stolen by two morons.
What was the prank and who were they playing it on? Their actions were not the action of pranksters but an action of criminal intent. Did they seriously not know that by covering up a stop sign there would be ramifications? If it involved their lawyers loved one would he still consider it a tragedy but not a crime?
The two should be punished severly for what they did. What isn’t in the article is that there were 2 calls to the Sheriff’s dept about the sign. One at 10:00 A.M. and another at 12:30 P.M. Neither call was acted upon. The dispatcher has been fired.

The attorney is absolutely right: all tregedies are not crimes.
This tragedy is a crime, and these punks who undboutedly left fingerprint evidence behind should rot in jail.
