Unortunately, Anderson represents everything what is wrong with the legal system today. He is pursuing this case for money and publicity and not for justice. If he had any sense of honesty and justice to what he is doing he would take into considerations the following:

Fall 1973 – Allegations against Murphy are brought to Archbishop Cousins.
May 1974 – Murphy restricted to administrative work only (no conact with children).
Summer 1974 – Completely removed from any role at St. John’s.
Fall 1974 – Murphy allegations reviewed by Deputy District Attorney. No further action pursued by the DA.
1975 – A civil lawsuit is filed against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee about Murphy. The lawsuit is resolved in 1976.
September 1976 – Counseling paid for by Archdiocese of Milwaukee for a Murphy victim-survivor who came forward.
October 1993 – Murphy’s actions are publicly acknowledged at a day of reflection sponsored by the archdiocese. Further victims are asked to come forward.
Winter 1994 – Further communication is sent to the deaf community regarding Murphy and asks for the community’s assistance. A special treatment group is set up for victim’s by Catholic Social Services and individual therapy is offered.
Early 1995 – Canonical proceedings begin against Murphy to impose laicization.
December 1995 – A healing service for victims of clergy sexual abuse is held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
July 1998 – Restrictions are repeated and reinforced.
    August 21, 1998 – Murphy dies.
Furthermore, the Vatican (the then cardinal Ratzinger) supported the canonical trial against Murphy. The proceedings were stopped when it became clear that he was terminally ill and cannot participate in the long trial. He died 6 months later.

So, this is the great cover-up, from which Anderson hopes to become rich. If he had real interest in protecting the victims of child sexual abuse, he could certainly do so:

For example, in the US 25% of girls and 16% of boys are sexually abused prior to reaching age 18 (Finkelhor, at al., 1990). According to Vogelnatz, Wilsnack, and Harris (1999), child sexual abuse among girls in the US ranges between 21% – 32%.

According to the March 22, 20101 media release: “Sexual Misconduct Continues to Plague US Schools,” 10% of children will experience sexual misconduct by a school employee during their academic career.

But, of course pursuing these cases would not bring nearly as much money and fame.

Are you saying that Ratzinger did not write the letters (that we have on record) to the archbishops of every diocese warning that they would be excommunicated if they reported allegations of child rape to the police? That these “matters” should be dealt with internally? Or that Cardinal Bernard Law was removed from Massachusetts and hidden in the Vatican and is now the archpriest in the Santa Maggiore in Rome, and voted in conclave for Ratzinger to become pope in 2005? Do you have anything I can read about these points you mention that DON’T come from a Catholic run website? It doesn’t matter anyway, this filthy cult’s days are numbered.

    @ gcgwgc

You write: “this filthy cult’s days are numbered”

I don’t think your statement any additional comment. It perfectly illustrates what is behind the ongoing legal assult on the Catholic Church by people like you and Anderson. One thing is clear, it has nothing to do with justice and truth. It has everything to do with hate, money and fame.

As to answering your questions, I have no idea what documents you are referring to. However, the documents I know about certainly do not say what you claim they do.

It’s a modern day witch hunt. The allegations brought out and aired long ago, now Anderson hoping to hit the jackpot. How many times do they have to admit wrongdoing and compensate the same victim (s)?

Yep, you have some issues. The “filthy cult” crap confirms it.

Don’t worry though. We’ll pray for you.
