here’s a situation where the cops were cleared of all charges, he threatened them with a handgun… what do you think? self defense and along with protecting the public… i think the family just wanted to money to make ends meet because he was laid off…

if you had pointed a gun to me, i would protect myself… i think the lawyer just wants to make money and will be denied! now, he’ll go after money from the lady and he’ll lose out…

Everyone in the Detroit area knows that they could be gunned down at any time. I must cite this as an inherient “assumption of risk.”

If you pick up a gun and won’t put it down when the police tell you to I would say you have pretty much assumed the risk.

Half crazed individual points a gun at police after wife calls for help. Police shoot him and now the public thinks it’s the police’s fault? Come on people, had this nut shot his wife, child, your wife, husband etc. would you then be up in arms because the police did not do their jobs?

For Pete sakes, The man was a danger to everyone around him, plus add a gun that he would not put down? OF COURSE HE GOT SHOT! Are you kidding me? What do you think happens when a Police officers says put the gun down and the suspect doesn’t? They hang their heads, say “oh okay” and leave? No.

I understand how hard it is to lose someone, however I am getting sick and tired of all these “wrongful death” law suits. What’s worse is the cops have to deal with this crap everyday so now they have to weigh out how worth it is to protect people.

There was a story around my neck of the woods a few years back where a man had a gun pointed at a woman and the cop was afraid to shot him because he “may be in the wrong” The woman ended up with a bullet in her jaw.

This is ridiculous! If I had been there as a police officer, I probably would have shot him too…
