Shouldn’t IJ know that the term “100 year flood” isn’t used anymore as it was too misleading? It sounds like they are actually raising the Base Flood Elevation.
Instead of throwing good money after bad to try and accomplish the impossible, why not relocate the people who were stupid enough to live so close to an historically dangerous river? Then, who cares if the damned thing floods.
