    These numbers are so missleading. If a claim is being settled for $1,000,000, but the claimant makes a complaint to the Insurance department for an extra $100, The insurance department claims responsibility for getting the consumer $1,000,100.

    I suspect the real amount that is recovered due to help from the insurance department is a single digit percentage of the amount that the insurance department brags about.
