Yer welcome! The irony is that JK Rowling has at least one degree in Medieval semiotics (symbolism). Her imagery is consistently Christian. Magic and witches and grotesques have their places in Christian art and literature. Wearing a witch suit doesn’t make one a witch, any more than wearing clerics makes one a priest.
The issue here is not handling harry potter (if I read it correctly), but the promotion of it. That is, the woman objected to being involved in something that promoted, which she believes to be wrong.
This is vastly different than checking the book out for a patron, which is defined as being part of her normal job.
