Health Care is a privilege, not a right. It’s a hard pill to swallow but the fact is we as a nation cannot afford to supply the same level of care to everyone. Politicians need to understand this and we must someday be forced to accept that many will always go without. We must also accept that, like other privileges, if you cannot afford it – you cannot have it.
Healthcare is not a right or a privilege, it is a duty. One has a duty to care for himself and his family. Failure to do so brings its own penalties. Forcing me to pay for the healthcare of slackers is socialistic, which is to say, immoral. If someone is rewarded for not providing for himself and his family, what incentive will he ever have to begin doing so?
