    This was a VERY good article, and sums up exactly what happened during Katrina.
    Each point mentioned was well taken, and covered many of the variables in flood adjusting.

    Unfortunately, the property owners up north are experiencing what many in Florida have known for years, insurer do not pay. FEMA and flood insurance is often mandatory and it really does not cover much – if they pay. These property owners will be even more upset when they learn how difficult it is to fight with these “insurers” and try to get something close to the money that they need and that the insurance should cover.
