Authorities say a worker at a southern New Jersey recycling business was killed when he fell through the roof of the multistory building.
Camden County prosecutors say the 50-year-old Franklinville man was cleaning the roof when he fell around 8:30 a.m. Monday. He then fell through most of the building and eventually landed on an elevated platform several feet off the floor on the building’s lowest level.
The man’s name was not immediately released. Prosecutors say the death has been ruled an accident and that the man died from “multiple injuries.”
The accident will now be investigated by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
