This is an absurd article. The TV show is not “involved” in this kids’ accident. They invited him to be on the show (with the parents consent), and asked that he film some of his stunts. The kid injured himself in the process and he’s the sole cause.
Let’s go back to the root of the story “how young people can often engage in maddening, self-destructive behavior”. Obviously this teen was asked to be a guest on the show because he was already engaging in self-destructive behavior. I’m sure there will be a lawsuit coming down the pike against Anderson Cooper personally as well as the studio and whomever else they can throw in the pot. Very sad for the young man, but hopefully he will learn a lesson….self destructive behavior can be destructive.

AND this kid has a history of doing stupid things!!!
