Next time someone goes to buy these sausages they will be $1.10 because Walmart will have added in their costs for screwing around with this self proclaimed activist. Thanks a lot Mary.
I agree with Bach to sue over 2 cents. It’s a matter of principle and not a matter of how many pennies she was overcharged. This happens all the time. Remember the prices from the shelves and when you go to checkout the price is higher. Check it out for yourself and you will see this happens across the board not just with sausages.
It’s actually worse than that Fish Man. It’s $0.02 on every $0.98 of gross sales. That’s 2.04% and not 2%. This is not sarcasm. That’s $8,262,940,000.00 per year instead of $8,100,920,000.00 if the overcharge is a ‘mere’ 2%. There you go folks – a difference of 0.04% in pricing on $405B in sales makes a difference of $162,020,000.00 in revenues per year. I’d call that significant.

Well, for all of you negative commenters, obviously you don’t understand basic math…if Walmart overcharges 2 cents on every $1.00 of gross sales (2%)…….here, you figure it out. http://cdn.walmartstores.com/sites/AnnualReport/2010/PDF/02_WMT%202010_FiveYear%20Summary.pdf
It’s Billions of dollars…..
