    The un-educated public isn’t in a position to interpret any malpractice issues against a physician. Details of claims are not shared. So, even un-meritorious claims will show up to taint the record. This is obviously the invention of our scumbag personal injury bar. I think they should have to post their successes and failures including wins/losses/average settlement awards.

    You have it exactly right Lee. Med Mal today is let’s make a deal. Insurers will “settle” rather than go to trial, and the suits that have no merit snap up the settlement option. So if a Dr has a suit filed against him which is totaly unjustified, the carrier stillmight settle it for 10K to 20K to avoid defense expenses. That shows up on the CT website and the unwashed masses think the Dr has a real malpractice history.
