Why is it that black are the ONLY race on the planet to ALWAYS sue over racism? I suppose if the only tool you have is hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Let’s seem some allegations of racism from whites, hispanics, asians, or european folks. This black thing is getting boring.

Spoken like a true middle-class white man. Maybe they sue because racism is real. Gender bias is real, too, pal.

OK ladies….. please name one other race that consistently plays the race card evertime they think they’re not being treated fairly. You can’t because Ritchie makes a good point. Black vs. white = lawsuit. They just don’t get it. A small amount of money isn’t addressing what they perceive as a problem. They continue to do what they’ve always done and expect a different outcome. It isn’t always the defendant who’s the racist in these cases. If you want to see racism in every aspect of life you’ll manage to find it. The fact remains, above average workers with a good work ethic will do well. There is no conspiracy to “keep the man down”.

Rebecca: You are obviously very sheltered or very naive. Racism is alive and well in America. Just by your comment “They continue to do what they’ve always done and expect a different outcome” shows you how insidious racism creeps into our every day life. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were a little racist yourself…

I don’t think it’s as bad as you are making it out to be either.

I’d like to hear from some black insurance professionals for their opinion. Is racism a thing of the past in America?

Playing the victim, here? May not be very low, but what HAVE Al & Jesse done to ACTUALLY help?

What? No feedback black professionals? Polly, grow up. There will always be some level of racism in the world, but I’d bet the level is very low. The only reason we hear about it is because of the ongoing sensationalism EVERY case receives in the media. In reality, it’ probably not nearly as bad as Shapton and Jackson would lead you to believe. And talk about racists…..Al and Jesse lead the pack. They incite, point fingers, and whine, but haven’t offered ANYTHING positive to move their race forward. And while we’re on that topic, why hasn’t it moved forward further than it has? Are Al and Jesse the best they can offer? It isn’t always “whitey” who’s the problem.

If I need to grow up, you need to face facts. There IS racism and and many other kinds of bigotry in this country. The reason you think it’s very low is because you’re not the one being discriminated against.
