Has the State of Mass. outlined how insurers will be advised on how to file the appeal? Do they contact the State of their insurer? Will they free form there appeal or will there be a report to complete?
When does the 60 day grace period to file this appeal begin? It’s hard to know what the time limit is without having the start date. Will it be 1/27/2010?

Just as an other appeal for fault, consumers would petititon the merit rating board, and if and when the MRB approves the request to remove points, the MRB’s records would be changed and the carrier would recieve a notice to reinquire from the MRB, which would reflect the new driving record, after which carriers must re-rate the policy back as required by law.
