A 30 year old loser destroys 26 businesses and causes hundreds of millions of dollars in damages and all he gets is 20 years. (it will be less as he’ll be eligible for parole after 10). He’s un-collectible in terms of making restitution.
In the meantime, responsible taxpayers will pay for his housing, medical and dental care, recreation, education, clothing, and food. What’ wrong with this scenario? This society? This legal system? He’ll probably be better off than when his sorry _ss roamed the streets.
