Why did this take 6 years? This is a huge problem. They’re willing to pay millions to others who are still making ends meet (for example the bridge collapse) and then there are these people suffering and losing because they took 6 years? What’s wrong with this picture?

Please don’t say anything about the bridge collapse remark. Its all sad and I feel for all of the families!

It took that long because the personl injury attorneys had a problem. Those responsible for the fire didn’t carry enough insurance. Therefore, they had to drag in parties that should have been dismissed, like the manufacture of the foam insulation, the people who sold it, etc. When the negligent parties can’t foot the bill, they look for the deep pockets. It would have been interesting to poll a jury to see how they would have reacted. “IF” there were capable of setting emotions for the victims aside, who knows what the outcome would have been. You had a negligent band and a negligent bar owner. End of story. If there wasn’t enough insurance…….too bad, but why have negligent free co-defendants eat the damages?

The reason negligence free co-defendents had to pay up is because for every societal wound there must be a financial poultice/
