What I love is that the award was three times what the guy’s lawyer was asking for.

I want THAT jury if I ever get hurt and have the ability to sue for my future riches.

Why did it take so long to go to trial?

u bet, let’s see, can we xfer that jury anywhere? what made the jury decide 3x? um…was there any circumstances that made it excessive? well, he’s set for life — at least he won’t have to worry about the economy — but maybe his separated wife…u know she’ll want to lay claim to part of that money…

Like all the lazy moronic frauds I have delat with in WC, this idiot, who was able to last 8 years, will blow through his money. I can’t wait to hear how his gold digging wife, perhaps he should have sped up the divorce, will take half, off the top mind you, and BEFORE his attorney fees are paid. He is not set for life, he’ll have about 300k left after everything is paid. Funny, I’ll bet his back is fine now.

Typically, money from personal injury is for the Person’s Injury and can not be attached by his wife during divorce, the same as money inherited – – unlike lottery winnings and other windfalls.
Disability payments are the same. They only go to the person who is disabled. I have a crazy uncle, who owes money to everyone in his county, he’s defaulted on loan after loan for houses, house trailors, campers, cars. He earns 3400.00 per month for his ‘disability – and he’s actually a bonafied nutjob, but no one he owes money to will ever be able to force him to pay up. Not that that matters, just thought I’d throw that in.

Its good to see “Home Depot” pay for their carelessness. I worked for Home Depot for nine years. I heard rumors how they were crooked, but never believed it until it happened to me. I had a rotten store manager in a Virginia store. The company had her hand out about 36 papers to employees to rate her as a manager. Her rating was not very good. She thought I had rated her badly, so she had other associates write false statements on me, and I was fired because of these statements. I was never warned, written up, nothing. I was brought into the office and fired. Its a real shame when companies can do that to an innoncent person who worked every day and never missed time. I got a phone call from a manager from another store saying that my rotten store manager was having people write statements on me. I immediately went to my Human Resource manager (Jackie) who said none of this was true. So I beleived her. What a big mistake on my part!!!!! I should have called corporate office right away. I might still be working there. I did everything I could to try and save my job. But my rotten manager had already did the damage. I do believe in that old wheel making its way back around. I just hope and pray the rotten manager who did this to me will pay some day….OH,,,her name is Valerie.

That’s the nature of comments on the IJ page.

    According to the commenters —

    1. Every claim is exaggerated.
    2. Every lawsuit is unfounded.

We’re just lucky no one has started political name-calling or pasting long diatribes about State Farm yet.

    Ratemaker,
I think you need to change jobs. You sound like you have burnout. I don’t think this was a WC claim either.
