Maine and Delaware Consider Restricting Drivers’ Cell Phone Use

    When you are talking on the phone you are not paying attention to the road. Bluetooth doesn’t make a diff.

    I think Verizon & ATT push these laws so you then have to buy the bluetooth ear attachment

    Betcha those illustrious lawmakers called in their votes on their cell phones while driving to the capitol.

    While they are at it, could they ban reading while driving, eating while driving, applying make-up while dirving, shaving while driving, etc.

    whats the difference between using hands free and talking to a passenger in your car???????

    The difference is that a passenger in your car has the same audio and visual cues you do as to when to shut up and let the driver concentrate on the road.

    The person on the other end of your cell phone call can’t see that you’re about to merge onto a busy freeway from an ice-covered entrance ramp and just keeps yammering in your ear.
