Is this the outcome of switching from testing on bunny rabbits to humans?

I don’t recall too many rabbits quitting their jobs after tasting nasty candy. I also don’t remember lawsuits being filed by Lapin & Hare LLC. Sure, maybe occasionally on their behalf, but not by them.

I notice the article didn’t say how much these wimmen had eaten. Maybe anyone would get sick after a few hundred Pounds of Mounds. Serves them right.

At least rabbits wouldn’t gorge like pigs. Which only gives pigs a bad name.

They ought to be glad there aren’t “royal” tasters now like Europe in the mid-centuries….if the food was bad, chances are you wouldn’t have survived long enough to file a complaint.

Did they think that for the $10 hour they were being paid through a staffing office, they would be tasting Champagne and Caviar?

Get real people. They were being paid a whopping $10 an hour to be tasters, not human experiments. I read the article and did not see any reference to any amount that was consumed much less that they had eaten huge amounts of the substance. Pay for the damages and learn from it.

    AHA!!

But how much were the rabbits being paid? All the kibble they could eat? And they NEVER complained.

Seems you’re missing the boat, Doc.

    It’s Friday. That’s all folks!

First – the serious bit. It sounds like they were temps so should collect workers’ compensation benefits from the staffing agency and nothing more. I’m not familiar with NJ law, but assume they have are exclusive remedy as most states are. If not, they need to be and the suit should be tossed.

On the lighter side – I’m not sure we can say the Cadbury bunnies never suffered injury. How many other bunnies lay eggs like a platypus?

They first signed a form acknowledging that the product, a sweetener, was experimental, she said.

So, they signed a form that probably said something along the lines of “we don’t know what this stuff really does, so by signing you acknowledge it’s not our fault if something bad happens.”
