Strike another blow against a class action? After the 1/3 for the lawyers, it works out to a little less than $180 per person. Must not have been too sick. Got to feel bad for the law firm, probably cost more than they received to sign up the 7500 victims(?).

This was an “economic buyout” for the insurance carrier. The scumbag law firm threatened them with 7,500 plaintiffs (most of which were BS) and for $267/per person this wasn’t worth defending. I doubt the plaintiff attornies did much if any investigation. In return, they picked up a cool $800,000 for doing nothing. This is what’ wrong with our society today. Each plaintiff will get the princely sum of $167 a piece. That should dramatically change their lives.
