The reason people violate this law is the same reason you all occassionally exceed the speed limit: You feel safe doing it and don’t expect to get caught. 95% of drivers using cell phones do so safely. Why should the majority have their liberties curtailed because a few folks (that are probably bad drivers regardless of what they are doing) have accidents while on cell phones. Next they’ll want to ban drive thru restaurants because a few people wreck while digging their fries out of the bag.
