You are right, it is wrong to say he got what he deserved, but what everyone remembers is that he didn’t practice what he was preaching!

why was the tropper driver only suspended for 5 days, if a citizen was pulled over for going 91 mph, caused a major accident…don’t you think I would get more than 5 days,,what a joke,,double standard at it’s best

Yes, you’re correct in that he didn’t practice what he preached. That said, how many times does a person need to apologize before enough is enough?
As for the state paying for his bills, get real! Can you imagine that secret getting out if it was handled that way? He’s still wiping egg off his face from not wearing a seat belt. Having the state pay his bills after he said he would do so would be the end of his political career.

There was no mention in this article of what charges (if any) were brought against the trooper driving the Governor’s vehicle.
If the driver was exceeding the legal 65mph speed limit at the Governor’s request, would this impact potential rulings for medical payment responsibility in a no-=fault state like NJ?

Time out; all the wisenheimmers out there.
First, do YOU use your belt everytime
Second, even if he had his belt on he’s still been hurt probably badly..I mean 91mph ?
Third, so how do we make this accident and almost fatal injury “count”
He NEEDS to make a TV & radio commercial
TV: he shows the car, + photos in hospital with all the med hook-ups, the crutches, etc and says, “don’t make the same mistake I made: travelling too fast + no seat belt”
And lets see if it does some good
