I wonder if this facility is too close to DC. The blast effects of a 1-megaton nuclear device at a range of 5 miles are still quite devastating. The structure may survive the blast but the area would still be exposed to lethal radiation and heat capable severely burning skin and igniting fabrics. I know terrorism is at the forefront of most disaster planning these days, but have we forgotten that these weapons still pose a real threat to us? Especially our capital!
