I feel that maybe if we have stricter guidelines on the driving schools to actually teach the kids in lieu of just reading out of the book or put drivers ed back in our school system this would give our kids more class time. There are so many fly by night schools and most of them don’t even speak english. I had to try several schools before finding one acceptable for my daughter.

I am in favor of Gov. Ehrlich’s driver initiative for young drivers. Young drivers need more experience behind the wheel with adult supervision.

I totally agree with the Governor. In fact, I think that kids should have to wait until 16 to even apply for the learner’s permit (as was the case when I was a youth) and then the learner’s and provisional period would be extended beyond that time frame. In addition, I think that kids on provisional licenses should not be allowed to drive with any other kids in the car or use cellphones while driving!
