Seriously, the industry has always been on the forefront of including women in the business. That said, historically many of the opportunities were in entry level roles without the career growth potential that men had.
I think that its been changing since the late 80’s/early 90’s and you see many more women in leadership positions of some power and authority, as they rise up in the organization.
Not sure that you can make the same claim for minorities though. That has been a slower evolution IMHO.
