    even without the time frame, the case should be dismissed – again.
    basic firearms safety rules are that you never handle or point a firearm in any direction that it might do harm, just for this very reason. and to be storing or casing a firearm with a loaded round in the chamber (notice I didn’t say “bullet”) is violation of basic rule #2.
    a firearm is a simple mechanical device. as such, just like any other mechanical device, they may have a malfunction or failure. when you consider that several million of this particular model of firearm have been produce, the failure rate is a tiny fraction of, for example, this computer I am typing on. if it indeed did fail.
