This jerk’s negligence was allowing himself to get smashed in the first place, compromising his ability to manage himself. Once the manager walked him to his room, this guy is on his own. If he stumbled outside and fell it’s his problem. Now he wants somebody to pay his bills for the rest of his pathetic life.
He is hanging his case on this sentence: “..bartenders at the Hotel St. Francis continued serving him alcohol after the bar manager cut him off because he was intoxicated.” If true he will win the case.
If it were SO CLEAR to him that the bartender continued to serve him when the bar manager had cut him off due to intoxication, then he was conscious enough to logically understand that he should not be drinking anymore. he chose to keep drinking anyway.
This is so pathetic, an alcoholic who injured himself and tried getting someone to pay for his bills and alcohols.

Wonder if it was on the first floor!?!
