Really? They had to do a study to know that accidents on rural roads kill more people than accidents on urban roads? Hello! The speed limit on the 2-lane, twisting and turning roads in Virginia is usually 55. The speed limit on interstate in heavily populated Virginia Beach is 55. I just don’t understand why a two lane rural road would have a speed limit that high. Not only is there a greater risk for a head-on collision, but also the fact that wild animals are more likely to jump out in front of your vehicle. I probaby p!ss people off, but whenever I’m on a rural road like that, especially at night, I go way slower than the speed limit. I’m too nervous about one of the aforementioned incidents happening to me.
