BP–Foreigners in the US. Multiple unsafe plants, massive injuries, many deaths, pollution due to penny-pinching on plant maintenance, repeated violations, refusal to follow US law. We even were foolish enough to trust these guys with a strategic asset–the Alaska pipeline and they let it corrode so badly to save money that they had to shut it down and clean up pollution at multiple sites.

The great ruler of BP (with his title of Lord no less)then comes to the US and tries to throw petty money at the families of the dead and injured workers and some fall for it. (Just like glass beads to the Indians centuries ago). Texas and national politicians bow and scrape and talk about deregulation, non-regulation and a good ‘bidness climate.

If you ever wondered why people in other countries don’t like us, think of how BP is treating us. Like we treat people in other countries.

Just say no to the energy companies. No to their pollution, their profiting from a resource that they are not renewing, and their insatiable demand for the blood of our kids and spouses with their covert actions, government destabilizations and endless oil wars.

Wake up. America should not be a British colony and our soldiers are not ghurkas doing the Empire’s bidding to serve a few excessively rich, endlessly greedy and thoroughly amoral people.

What a sad state for America.

“sad state” my A**. This is why so many so-called ‘third world’ legal and illiegal immigrants come to this country: to win the trial lawyers jackpot. Yeah, I feel sorry for these poor workers, hitting the $10.M per worker lotto baby!!
