This was a debacle that wasn’t just foreseeable, it was foreseen and entirely preventable. Let’s hope that the all the other below-par Federal levees (from Sacramento, CA to the east coast) are brought up to performance standards so that no other communities will have to bear the terrible loss of life and property NOLA did. Why are you so angry with people who have lost so much?
