In reading this article you would think that these claims are being paid. I have not heard of any claim payments for Chinese Drywall. The unendorsed CGL policy excludes pollution, As it is a harmful gas.

Why didnt the article go more in depth into the coverage aspect of this issue.

As the lawyers and blue suits get rich, the homeowners are still denied restitution.

Property insurers may also pay to remove and replace drywall, then sue the manufacturers, suppliers, installers, etc. who provided the substandard product.

American property insurers should not be required to indemnify against the crap that the Chinese produced. These are product liability claims and the damned Chinese who made and sold this crap should be held accountable. Obama needs to get on the phone with whoever runs that rathole and DEMAND the Chinese pay for all the losses.

Where in an unendorsed CGL or Homeowners is there coverage for pollution. There is a gas being emited by the drywall and a gas by definition is a pollutant.

NO COVERAGE! If not where in the policy is it covered?

Ummmm…. what P/C company has covered this? There are multiple exclusions throughout polices for this…. Faulty construction, noxious fumes, pollution, etc. GIVE ME A BREAK! NOT COVERED!
