I am a Pennsylvania resident. My son and daughter-in-law live in Rio de Janiero. They visit with me for approximately two months a year. During this time, with my permission, they frequently visit my daughter-in-law’s mother who lives in Vermont. Does my auto policy cover their use?

If you’ve granted them permission, yes.
-Insurance follows the vehicle if it’s a permissive user. Your auto policy will cover for Property Damage.
-Injuries on the other hand are a completely different ball game with different ways they can be handled based off what coverage’s the injured party in question has under their own personal policy, who is at fault for the loss, etc.

I am a New Jersey resident who recently purchased insurance with Progressive. One month later my 17 year old daughter got into an accident with my vehicle that I let her borrow to go to school since she missed the bus. Her name is not on the policy. The insurance company spoke to me and her and told me everything is ok, had an adjuster come out to the repair shop and order me a rental car. Now they want to investigate and want the rental car back and may not pay for the damages to my car? Can they do this?
