I think any person who is against this suggestion should consider what it would be like for them to be the party in need of being a claimant. Not all claims can be adjusted from behind a desk and it would be a good experience for those that never had eye to eye contact with someone who lost a home to an insured peril. Wake up – we live in a different world today!
What a bunch of hoorah crud. It’s anothe way for the feds to stick their sticky fingers into the money pie (fees, etc). Let the carriers do the due diligence (or independents).
Have we missed the issue here, i.e., a system of (pre)registration (not unlike what existed for years with the flood program) wherein adjusters can get security clearance for potential access to fed, state and local governmental facilities post loss? If you handled exclusively WC, or auto I would not think it very likely you would want/need to register – or am I missing something?
What are the details? Mandatory registration? Mandatory duty? Who pays for it?
