    These kinds of suits are _ullshit. They’re tring to get a defendant with deep pockets. There’s no negligence in selling firearms in this country. The retailers can’t be held responsible for the person who buys one.

    I’m sorry for the parents’ loss-I can’t begin to imagine what they’re going through. However, what was the gun shop to do? If the straw purchaser passed his background check, on what legal basis could the store deny his purchase? If lawmakers TRULY want things to change, punish the criminals – the straw purchaser spent a measley 6 months in jail?!?!?! When will hysterical anti-2nd Amendment nuts get it through their heads that passing more laws will not make criminals obey them???

    Tougher laws against the straw buyer is the answer. If you are handing a gun to someone who isn’t allowed to have one, you are just as guilty for any crime committed and should send just as much time behind bars for it.
