Let me get this right – 17 kids got off the bus safely, weren’t injured, but were taken to a hospital to be checked out anyway. Now the hospital will be billing. The school bus carrier won’t pay and will refer the bills for each kid to that kid’s family, to present the claim under their family auto PIP. Now you’ve got 17 pissed off families with pip claims on their CLUE reports! What a complete waste of time and money when a little common sense should have been used in the first place to avoid unnecessary medical. We are such a stupid society and live in a medical dictatorship
Of course, if they didn’t get all the kids checked out, and one of them had a coughing fit sometime in the next three years, it would suddenly have been because of smoke inhalation from the school bus incident, and somebody’s gonna get sued.
