A member of the Atlanta City Council says she’s not quitting and plans to seek re-election after being charged during driving under the influence.
Councilman Cleta Winslow tells WSB-TV she intends to continue working hard for the citizens despite her arrest.
Winslow also says he will seek another term. She’s been on the council since 1993.
Winslow is free on bond after being released from jail Wednesday. Atlanta police stopped her Tuesday night saying she was driving on the wrong side of the road and ran a red light.
Winslow said Saturday it wasn’t an easy week, and she is thanking people for their support.
A lawyer for Winslow says the councilwoman admitted to drinking and driving, but the attorney denies Winslow was drunk when police stopped her.
