This isn’t complicated – perhaps the wedding couple were still on cloud 9 and not thinking clearly before they decimated the photographers reputation and livelihood.
If someone sends me a collection of photos, for example, wedding photos, my 6 year old grandson could have them copied onto a thumb drive in 2 minutes. I’m sure the wedding couple were capable of doing likewise so why would a prudent, professional businesswoman risk that happening and finding herself seriously out of pocket when they decide they no longer need to ‘buy’ the photos from her?
It’s nothing personal, it’s not holding her clients to ransom, it’s common sense and common practice. It’s a shame she’ll probably never see a penny of the $1m, not for several years anyway.
