The National Weather Service says a small tornado touched down in the Camden, N.J., area this week, damaging many homes.
The weather service confirms that the area was hit by a tornado that carried 85 mph winds during a storm Monday. It said the tornado touched down near Dawson Lane in the Barclay Farms subdivision.
Six homes in Barclay Farms suffered serious damage and were declared uninhabitable by building inspectors.
Many residents in Kent County also lost power after the storm.
