Oregon Boy Burns House, Two Vehicles

An 11-year-old boy from Aloha, Ore. allegedly started a fire that caused extensive damage to a neighbor’s house and two vehicles said the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt. Bob Ray said deputies learned a boy with a lighter had been seen in the area shortly before the fire. They later found him and determined that he intentionally started the blaze.

The boy’s name is not being released due to his age. Ray said the sheriff’s office would recommend he be charged with arson and criminal mischief.

The homeowners were at a park when the fire started, so no one was hurt.
