West Virginia Counties Offer SBA Drought Disaster Loans

Small businesses and most nonprofits in Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties affected by drought are eligible for federal disaster loans.

The two counties are contiguous to one or more counties in West Virginia declared disaster areas following a drought that occurred from Aug. 22, 2014, through Oct. 15, 2014.

The Small Business Administration is offering federal economic injury disaster loans of up to $2 million to eligible small businesses and nonprofits that sustained financial losses as a direct result of the drought.

The deadline to submit loan applications is Sept. 28.
