The Merlin Law Group announced it will hold a two-day event Dec. 6 and 7 in Houston at which Attorney William F. “Chip” Merlin and his team of attorneys will answer questions and review insurance policies for victims of Hurricane Ike at no charge.
The law firm expects thousands of Hurricane Ike victims from the Hispanic community to attend the weekend event at Almeda Mall.
“Trying to understand complicated insurance contracts that are written in English can represent a real challenge for many Hispanic policyholders,” Merlin commented in the firm’s announcement. “Our desire is to make sure every Hurricane Ike victim regardless of his ethnicity is rightfully compensated for property damages he may have suffered.”
Ike victims will be able to meet one-on-one with Merlin’s staff at the two-day event. The law firm said the event is a “tremendous opportunity” for those who believe they have been “unjustly compensated” by their insurance company.
