Company Fined $3K Over Lightning Death at New Jersey Casino

A construction company has been fined $3,000 following the death of a construction worker struck by lightning at an Atlantic City, N.J., casino project in one of the state’s tallest buildings.

Brian Bradley, of Linwood, was killed and two other workers were injured while working at the Revel casino site in September.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recently fined Network Construction for violating federal regulations that say once a local storm warning has been issued, a person in charge must determine if equipment must be secured.

Bradley’s brother, Butch Bradley, tells The Press of Atlantic City that he appreciated the OSHA investigation but didn’t believe the fine was harsh enough.
