San Diego, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2014) – Atlas General Insurance Services, LLC, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance. Atlas General was recognized for its excellence in providing a productive and enjoyable workplace for its employees. Atlas General was ranked number six of the top 75 best places to work in the small employer category.
The Best Places to Work in Insurance program is held by Business Insurance and the Best Companies Group, an independent workplace excellence firm. It recognizes insurance employers who have created work environments that allow employees to thrive through a two-part process.
The first is a confidential employee engagement and satisfaction survey. The survey was used to evaluate employees’ workplace experience, as well as the company’s culture. The second included an employer questionnaire that collected information about employee benefits, policy practices and additional general information.
The award is open to all publicly or privately held company within one of eight insurance focuses. The nominees must have at least 25 employees in the United States, be in business for a minimum of one year and serve the commercial insurance market.
This year marked Atlas General’s first nomination for the award. Atlas General’s rank in the top 75 was released in the Sept. 29 issue of Business Insurance.
In addition to this achievement, Atlas General was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work and one of the 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in San Diego in 2014 by the San Diego Business Journal.
